Olivia Rodrigo thrilled fans with a surprise appearance by Ed Sheeran during her performance at London's Hyde Park on 27 June, as part of the British Summer Time concert series.

The pair performed a heartfelt acoustic duet of Sheeran's 2011 debut single 'The A Team', ahead of Rodrigo's headlining Glastonbury debut this weekend.

Following the show, Sheeran posted the duet on Instagram, sharing his admiration for Rodrigo and reflecting on their friendship.

"Was gonna go watch the show anyway but she hit me and asked to sing The A Team with her, which was such a buzz. That song turns 15 this year, and I remember playing it to rooms with no one in it in 2010, so to still be playing it to new fans with one of the brightest stars of the next generation is an honour and a privilege."

Also spotted in the crowd was singer Sabrina Carpenter. Sheeran later shared a 'Perfect'/'Happier' mashup with Rodrigo on TikTok, delighting fans once again.
