Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer sued for alleged sexual abuse and trafficking

Author Neil Gaiman and his wife, musician Amanda Palmer, are facing a lawsuit accusing them of human trafficking and sexual abuse. Filed by former babysitter Scarlett Pavlovich, the suit alleges that Gaiman repeatedly raped, choked, and physically abused her.
At the same time, she worked as a live-in nanny at their separate residences on Waiheke Island, New Zealand. Pavlovich claims she endured the abuse out of fear of losing her job, housing, and promised career support.
Gaiman denied the allegations in a blog post, stating, "I have never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity with anyone." He admitted to past selfishness but insisted that the accusations were false or distorted.
The lawsuit follows a New York Magazine report detailing allegations from eight women. Since the claims surfaced last year, Gaiman has been dropped from several projects, though his Netflix series The Sandman will conclude with its second season.
