Megadeth’s new single releases today

Thrash metal pioneers Megadeth have unveiled plans to release a new single 'Tipping Point' out today. The track will be the first taste of their 17th and final studio album, following the band's bombshell announcement in August that they will officially disband in 2026.
Revealing the single's artwork on social media, the group teased: "There's no return, now you've crossed the line. Tipping Point out on Friday."
Frontman Dave Mustaine addressed the decision to close the chapter on Megadeth after four decades, explaining: "Most musicians don't get to go out on their own terms, on top. That's where I'm at in my life right now. I've travelled the world and made millions of fans, and the hardest part is saying goodbye to them."
Despite the looming farewell, Mustaine emphasised the significance of this final era: "If there was ever a perfect time for us to put out a new album, it's now. If there was ever a perfect time to tour the world, it's now."
Megadeth's farewell world tour will celebrate their revolutionary contribution to thrash metal. "Don't be sad," Mustaine urged fans. "Be happy—we changed the world together."
