Jennie reveals new EP Fallen Angel
Jennie’s new three-track EP Fallen Angel arrives on 28 August.
Jennie is preparing to enter a mysterious new chapter in her solo career with Fallen Angel, a three-track EP arriving on 28 August through her label Odd Atelier and Columbia. The BLACKPINK star revealed the tracklist on Friday, confirming that the title track Fallen Angel will appear alongside Heaven and Less Than a Lover. The latter was released in July, giving fans an early taste of the musical direction.
Jennie began teasing the project on 20 August with a series of mystical photographs showing her posing beside a winged statue. The striking imagery, paired with the caption "one day it'll all make sense", immediately sparked curiosity about the story behind the new era. A teaser for the music video offers further clues, hinting at a concept centred on human weakness, temptation and the desire for freedom, with angelic references throughout.
The EP, produced by Cashmere Cat and Tyler Spry, follows her acclaimed debut album Ruby, which reached number seven on the Billboard 200. It also caps a remarkable year in which her Tame Impala collaboration, the JENNIE Remix of Dracula, has spent weeks inside the Hot 100 top ten. She has performed at major festivals including Governors Ball, Roskilde and Summer Sonic.
Odd Atelier described the record as coming "from a very personal place", a "gift from Jennie, with love". With Fallen Angel, she appears ready to trade familiar pop confidence for something darker, dreamier and more enigmatic.
