James Bond First Light gameplay unveiled

Sony and IO Interactive showcased the first extended gameplay of 007 First Light during September's State of Play, giving fans over 30 minutes of action from the highly anticipated James Bond game.
The presentation highlighted Bond's early MI6 days, with sequences featuring stealth, high-tech gadgets, explosive shootouts, and cinematic car chases. The biggest reveal came with a confirmed release date: 007 First Light will launch worldwide on 27 March 2026, for PC, PS5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch 2.
Actor Patrick Gibson (Dexter: Original Sin) was officially unveiled as the new James Bond, making him the youngest actor yet to take on the role in the franchise. The supporting cast includes Lennie James as Greenway, Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Moneypenny, and Noémie Nakai as Ms. Roth.
Gameplay footage showed Bond using stealth tactics reminiscent of IO's Hitman series, but also engaging in fast-paced combat and stunt-filled vehicle chases. IO confirmed that players will balance espionage, charm, and brute force in missions—sometimes relying on gadgets, other times earning their "license to kill."
Pre-orders are now live, including a $299.99 Collector's Edition and a $69.99 standard edition.
