GTA 6 to premiere extended look on Netflix
Rockstar Games has confirmed that "Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look" will premiere on Netflix later this month, giving fans their deepest glimpse yet of the long-awaited blockbuster before it reaches YouTube.
The special showcase debuts on Netflix on Thursday, 27 August at 12pm Pacific (3pm Eastern, 8pm UK). Viewers without a subscription will not miss out for long: the presentation lands on Rockstar's YouTube channel and the official "GTA 6" website roughly six hours later, at 6pm Pacific (9pm Eastern), or 2am UK on 28 August. Netflix subscribers can already set a reminder via netflix.com/GTAVI.
Rockstar has not revealed how long the programme will run or precisely what it will contain. The "Extended Look" title has fuelled speculation that it may finally show gameplay footage, as the studio has so far released only cinematic trailers. It has been almost 500 days since Trailer 2 arrived in May 2025.

Netflix has billed the event as a "first-of-its-kind partnership" with Rockstar. "The anticipation and fandom around Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and we're honoured that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the story with Netflix members first," said Brandon Riegg, Netflix's VP of Nonfiction Series, describing such reveals as "cultural moments in their own right."
The showcase arrives as excitement builds towards the game's launch on 19 November, following a stunning start to preorders.
