Gear up for next- gen Shelbys

Peaky Blinders is officially returning, with a brand-new generation of Shelbys set to take centre stage. The sequel series, created by Peaky mastermind Steven Knight, has been ordered for two seasons by Netflix and the BBC.
Set in 1953, the drama will unfold in post-war Birmingham as the city, devastated by the Blitz, undergoes massive reconstruction. According to the official synopsis, the rebuilding effort sparks a brutal battle for control, with the Shelby family once again at the heart of the blood-soaked struggle.
Casting is being kept tightly under wraps, but original series star Cillian Murphy is confirmed to return in an executive producer role. "I'm thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story," Knight said to Variety. "The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel, and it will be a hell of a ride."
The series will be produced by Kudos (SAS Rogue Heroes) and Garrison Drama, the company behind the original six seasons and the forthcoming Peaky Blinders feature film. Filming will take place in Birmingham at Digbeth Loc Studios.
Each of the two new seasons will feature six one-hour episodes, promising fans an expansive continuation of the gritty Shelby saga.
