Ed Sheeran denies reports of permanent move to US

Ed Sheeran has clarified that he is not leaving the UK permanently after speculation arose from comments he made on a podcast.
Appearing on The 2 Johnnies Podcast earlier in the week, the singer remarked that he was "about to move to America," explaining that he needed to stay there during his upcoming tour with his family. His comments were widely interpreted as a permanent relocation.
Yesterday, Sheeran addressed the rumours directly through Instagram Stories, writing: "I'm not moving, I'm going on tour with my family and relocating to the continent I'm touring on, don't wanna commute from London to San Diego obvz."
He dismissed claims that taxes played any role, adding, "Also this isn't a tax thing, it's USA not UAE. I'll always pay tax in the UK coz that's where I live."
Sheeran's Loop Tour is scheduled across Europe and Australia, with North American dates yet to be announced.
