Toddler sets multiple Guinness World Records in snooker

Jude Owens, a two-year-old from Manchester, has become the youngest person to complete two specific snooker trick shots, earning multiple Guinness World Records.

Owens completed a snooker double pot at two years and 261 days, and later executed a pool bank shot on October 12, 2025, at two years and 302 days. These achievements make him one of the youngest double record holders in the history of the organization, says the BBC.

His father, Luke Owens, said he first noticed Jude's natural ability at home, adding: "I think I realised once he put the cue through his fingers and it was dead natural the way he did it." To accommodate his height, the family initially used bar stools before obtaining a cooking stool that allows Jude to reach the table for his shots.

Reflecting on his son's achievements, Luke Owens said: "I think for me, Jude's achieved quite a lot in such a short space of time. But for him to achieve not just one, but two world records, it's probably the pinnacle moment. How do you even beat that in life?" Comparing his own start in the sport to Jude's, he added: "I started playing when I was 10 and obviously Jude started playing when he was two. But I'd say Jude's got a lot more natural ability than myself."

When asked about his favorite shot, Jude said: "A trick shot." On who would win in a snooker match between him and his father, he replied: "Me."

Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of Guinness World Records, welcomed Jude into the organization, saying: "Record-breaking has always belonged to everyone – regardless of age. To see someone as young as Jude display such skill, enthusiasm and determination is incredibly special. We're thrilled to welcome him into the Guinness World Records family."

Outside of cue sports, Jude is a devoted Manchester United fan who is "obsessed" with footballer Bruno Fernandes and can sing the lyrics to "Take Me Home, Country Roads."
