The ministry of Home Affairs has removed Inspector General of Police (IGP) Md Mainul Islam and Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Mainul Hasan from their posts.

Baharul Alam has been appointed as IGP and Sheikh Sajjat Ali has been appointed as DMP commissioner, reads a notification issued by the Ministry today (20 November).
