Donald Trump's victory in the US elections today (6 November) made him the 47th President of the United States. 

Although Trump's battle with Kamala Harris was quite close at times, near the end he sits with 277 seats against Kamala's 224.

America's experience with close races are, however, not very new. Here we take a look at how candidates fared in the US elections in the last 100 years.
