Woman held with 3 kg heroin in Rajshahi

Police in an anti-crime drive arrested an alleged woman drug peddler with three kilograms of heroin from Godagari upazila of the district last night.

The arrested was Shima Begum, 35, of Kanpara village under Godagari upazila, said the police sources here this morning.

On a tip-off, a team of detective branch (DB) of police conducted a raid in Kanpara area and arrested Shima Begum and recovered three kilograms of heroin from her possession around 3.40am.

A case was recorded with Godagari Police Station in this connection and the arrested person with the seized contraband goods was sent to court this morning.
