The special task force committee, during a market monitoring drive, fined eight shops Tk13,000 for not displaying proper price lists at the CDA market in Chowmuhani, Chattogram this afternoon.

Student representatives from the task force committee, an executive magistrate from the deputy commissioner's office, officials from the Chattogram district office of the Directorate of National Consumer Rights Protection, agricultural marketing officers, and members of the Consumer Association of Bangladesh were present during the drive.

Tanvir Hasan Tunan, executive magistrate and assistant commissioner (land) of the Agrabad Circle, said, "Under the direction of the deputy commissioner of Chattogram, the task force committee is monitoring the markets. We have fined several establishments for not displaying price lists and issued warnings. Representatives from the consumer rights office and other departments are working with us.
