According to the bulletin, monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh

Light to moderate rain likely to occur at most places over the country in the next 24 hours (from 9am) as monsoon is active over Bangladesh, a Met office bulletin said this morning (4 October).

"Light to moderate rain or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions with moderately heavy to very heavy falls at places over the country", it said.

According to the bulletin, monsoon trough runs through Bihar, West Bengal to Assam across central part of Bangladesh.

Monsoon is active over Bangladesh and moderate to strong elsewhere over North Bay. A Low Pressure Area is likely to form over coastal areas of West Bengal and adjoining southwest Bangladesh during next 24 hours.

The day and night temperature may fall slightly over the country.

Country's maximum temperature yesterday (3 October) was recorded at 32.4 degree Celsius at Koyra and minimum temperature today was recorded 23.5 degree Celsius at Sandwip.

Country's maximum rainfall for the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 72mm at Aricha.

The sun sets today at 5:43pm and rises tomorrow at 5:52am in the capital.
