Four people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in Kalihati upazila of Tangail today (4 October).

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Nannu Khan, officer-in-charge of Elenga highway police station, said the accident occurred around 2am on the Dhaka-Tangail highway in front of the Elenga link road, leaving four bus passengers dead on the spot.

The injured were rushed to Tangail General Hospital, with four reported to be in critical condition, he added.
