President Mohammed Shahabuddin will exchange greetings with the Hindu community leaders at Bangabhaban tomorrow on the occasion of Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Sri Krishna, the eighth avatar of Vishnu.

"The President, along with his wife Dr Rebeka Sultana, will exchange greetings with the Hindu community leaders at Bangabhaban Durbar Hall," President's press secretary Md Joynal Abedin told the BSS today. 

The head of the state will also greet the Hindu community members at 11.05 am, he added.

Later, President Shahabuddin, along with Religious Affairs Adviser Dr AFM Khalid Hossain, will exchange Janmashtami greetings with the community representatives at Durbar Hall. He is also scheduled to go round different corners and exchange greetings with the guests.

Secretary of the Hindu Religious Welfare Trust Dr Krishnandu Kumar Pal, Deputy Director Shree Prashanto Kumar Biswas, Bangladesh Puja Udjapon Parishad President Sri Basudeb Dhar, General Secretary Sri Santosh Sharma and Mahanagar Sarbojonin Puja Committee President Sri Jayanta Kumar Dev and General Secretary Dr Tapas Kumar Pal are expected to be accompanied the President there. 

As many as 700 individuals including diplomats, senior journalists of the Hindu community and secretaries concerned to the Bangabhaban and ministry concerned have been invited on the occasion.

The invited guests will be entertained with the traditional food items at Durbar Hall of the Bangabhaban.
