Rajshahi markets, shops to stay shut till Eid
Rajshahi, on Friday confirmed the first case of novel coronavirus, a 50-year-old woman residing at the city's Bhadra
The authorities have decided to keep shut all markets and shops in Rajshahi till Eid-ul-Fitr.
The decision came at a meeting of business leaders with the city mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton and lawmaker for Rajshahi-2 Fazle Hossain Badshah at Nagar Bhaban Friday afternoon.
The meeting discussed and decided to provide assistance to the shop staff of the market.

Panel mayor-1 and ward 12 councillor Sariful Islam Babu, Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Moniruzzaman Moni, RDA Market Business Association General Secretary Farhad Madud Hasan, Rajshahi Business Coordinating Council General Secretary Sekendar Ali, Nurun Nabi, president of the association, Bhapati Mohammad Shamim of the cloth market traders' association attended the meeting among others.

Bangladesh on Friday confirmed 15 more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 1,202 new cases of infection, testing 8,582 samples in the last 24 hours.
With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rose to 298 and the number of total infections stood at 20,065. Some 279 patients recovered during this time.
