Swedish clothing company H&M donates 8 ventilators and 1500 PPE to Bangladesh
Momen said that H&M has set the standard in this regard and other companies should follow their model
Swedish clothing company Hannes & Mauritz AB (H&M) has donated 8 ventilators and 1500 personal protective equipment (PPE) sets to Bangladesh to help in the fight against coronavirus.
H&M representative Bashirun Nabi Khan handed over the equipment to Secretary of department of health and family welfare Md Asadul Islam in the presence of Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen at the handover ceremony held at the ministry of foreign affairs on Thursday said a press release.
Swedish Ambassador to Bangladesh Charlotta Schlyter and Foreign Secretary Masud Bin Momen were also present in the hand ceremony as well.

During the handover ceremony, Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen thanked the Swedish clothing company for not cancelling its orders from Bangladesh during this coronavirus pandemic.
Momen said that H&M has set the standard in this regard and other companies should follow their model.
Referring to a telephone conversation between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Swedish Prime Minister, Dr Momen said the two countries want to continue working together to overcome the challenges of coronavirus.
Swedish Ambassador Charlotta Schlyter said, "Sweden has always stood beside Bangladesh and now Swedish companies are following suit."
The Swedish Ambassador reiterated Sweden's commitment to work with Bangladesh tackle the challenges of coronavirus.
