Mushfiq’s bat will be auctioned by the online auction platform ‘Sports for Life’ on online shopping site ‘Pickaboo’ from 10 PM, May 9, 2020, to 10 PM, May 14, 2020.

Bangladesh batsman Mushfiqur Rahim had announced earlier that he will be auctioning the bat with which he scored the first double hundred for Bangladesh to battle the coronavirus crisis. All the funds raised from this event would be used to help the bereaved people. The date of the auction was not fixed back then but now has been announced. 

Mushfiq's bat will be auctioned by the online auction platform 'Sports for Life' on online shopping site 'Pickaboo' from 10 PM, May 9, 2020, to 10 PM, May 14, 2020. The auction will be kicked off via a live video conference on the Facebook page of 'Sports for Life' where the organisers and Mushfiq and Under-19 skipper Akbar Ali will be present. This was confirmed by a press release from 'Nibco Sports Management', the parent company of 'Sports for Life'.

Besides Mushfiq's bat, some other memorabilia of other players will be there too. U-19 skipper Akbar Ali, who guided Bangladesh to winning the U-19 World Cup with a man of the match knock in the final, is auctioning his jersey and gloves from the final on the same platform. Mosaddek Hossain's bat with which he struck a lightning 27-ball 52 to hand Bangladesh there first-ever multinational trophy and Naim Sheikh's bat with which he scored 81 against India will be there too. All the items will be on auction with Mushfiq's bat.

Mushfiq scored the first double hundred for Bangladesh in 2013 against Sri Lanka at Galle. Since then, he has added on two more to his bag. 

The details of the auction will be found in the Facebook page of 'Sports for Life'. 'Sports for Life' is a social initiative from 'Nibco Sports Management' to help the helpless amid the coronavirus crisis.
