Harun Al Rashid Nizam, the father of Bangladesh Cricket Board Director and Beximco Sports CEO Obeid Rashid Nizam, passed away at the age of 81 in Dhaka on Thursday (12 October) morning.
After the first Janaza on Friday at Azad Mosque in Gulshan and the second on Friday at Baridhara Mosque, he was laid to rest in the Banani graveyard.
Harun Al Rashid Nizam was born on 5 May 1942 in Chattogram.

His father Obaidur Rahman Nizam was a distinguished businessman of the country after whom Chattogram's famous O R Nizam road is named.
Harun Al Rashid Nizam managed the family business while finishing his education in the UK. He established himself as a successful businessman both at home and abroad.
He left behind his wife, one son, one daughter, five grandchildren, and a large number of admirers.
