Rangpur Juba League leader held for black marketing TCB goods  

The members of the Detective Branch of Rangpur metropolitan police (RpMP) have arrested Ajmal Hossain, a listed dealer of the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) in Rangpur metropolitan area, for allegedly selling TCB goods of in the black market.

Police sources said that Ajmal was also the president of Juba League of Ward 25 of Rangpur city.

Uttam Prasad Pathak, deputy police commissioner of detective branch of RpMP, said, "We have arrested Ajmal from the Shaat Matha area of the city on Thursday afternoon."

"He was accused of selling TCB goods in the black market and has been sent to jail accordingly," Pathak added.

After Ajmal's name came up during in one of the ongoing operations against black marketers, he was removed from his post as Juba League president of Ward 25 of Rangpur city.

A press release, signed by the president and general secretary of Rangpur city Juba League, confirmed his removal from the post.  

The district administration has also cancelled his dealership license.
