Advent Pharma gets approval for 5 new products

The Directorate General of Drug Administration has approved Advent Pharma Limited for marketing five new products.

The products include four liquid items and one is powder item.

Advent Pharma Ltd is a pharmaceutical company engaged in manufacturing, importing and marketing of animal health care drugs, nutritional supplements and feed additives for livestock.

Earlier, the drug administration authority allowed the company to market 11 new products – six injectable healing, four liquid and one bolus item.

The company's head of operation Sumon Chowdhury told The Business standard, "Recently, we received approval for marketing five new products. Including these, we have received approval for marketing 38 products.

In the financial statement of 2019, the company recommended a 12 percent dividend for its shareholders.

In that year, the company's earnings per share were Tk2.10, which was Tk1.41 in the previous year.

In the same year, the company's net profit was Tk15.84 crore, which was Tk8.69 crore in the previous year.

Sponsor directors hold 31.44 percent of the company's shares, institutional investors 24.51 percent and general investors hold the remaining 44.05 percent of shares.

The closing price of its shares at the Dhaka Stock Exchange was Tk22.80 on Tuesday.

Emerged in January 2007, the company started its commercial operation in March 2013.

The company was listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange in March 2018.
