Suspected Covid-19 patient waiting for test result

A suspected coronavirus patient who was rejected by several hospitals has finally been admitted to the Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, but he had not received his medical test reports till Saturday afternoon.
The youth told The Business Standard that although he was feeling ill on Friday night, he was feeling much better since Saturday morning. However, he is a bit worried about his test results.
At present he is in a ward on the fourth floor of the hospital where three other people who returned from overseas recently are being quarantined. All of them are wearing masks and are staying inside mosquito nets, said the patient.

Since there is no television for the patients in the quarantine ward, they amuse themselves and pass the time by staying in touch people by mobile phone, he added.
The youth said he works for a private firm and stays updated on the coronavirus pandemic through newspapers.
He claimed that he self-isolated himself from his family when he developed a sore throat and a cough on Wednesday — common symptoms of coronavirus. He turned-up at the local upazila health complex on Thursday with fever and diarrhoea.
The health complex's doctors advised him to stay at home. However, the young man came to the capital by ambulance on Friday at dawn.
He went to the Institute of Public Health Nutrition and International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh — both of which are in the Mohakhali area of Dhaka.
He went to the Directorate General of Health Services to complain after both the institutions refused to test or admit him. After failing to reach the Directorate General of Health Services, as it was Friday, he rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital.
Doctors at the hospital advised him to go home after prescribing some medicine. However, he was desperate to be admitted and moved to the Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital in the Uttara area of Dhaka.
The on-duty guards stopped him at the entrance. However, the guard noted down the patient's mobile phone number and told him to wait. Later the doctors contacted him to take the history of his ailment.
He was finally admitted to the hospital at 10:30am and put into the quarantine ward. Someone collected his medical samples in the afternoon.
