Shilpangan Gallery has organized a unique group art exhibition, titled "Bangladesh." The exhibition features watercolour paintings by four young artists who have encapsulated the beauty of the country through their brush strokes on canvas. 

Participating artists at the exhibition are Al Akhir Sarker, Kamruzzoha, Masud Ahmed and Palash Datta. The artists travelled across the country to gather the essence of the beauty of both rural and urban Bangladesh aesthetically. They demonstrated their skill-sets by a controlled usage of colour.

State Minister for Information Dr MD Murad Hassan inaugurated the exhibition on Thursday. The art show will be open for all every day till March 23. The gallery has dedicated this exhibition to the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. on the occasion of his birth centenary.

This painting features a human figure riding his cycle in silhouette. Combination of warm colour of setting sun with black and shadows makes the art piece an attractive one. One of the best paintings on display at the exhibition. Its blue colour and theme will make the visitors enthralled. This water colour painting shows a man fishing on river with net and basket, a very common scene in rural areas of Bangladesh. The painting itself represents the green and beauty of Bangladesh. Its price is TK25,000.

Green colour dominates the canvas of This painting portrays two men fishing on a pond with hooks, against the backdrop of paddy field. Visitors can purchase this beautiful artwork at Tk14,000. The artists drew this painting from his memory which portrays the exquisiteness of serenity of nature.

One of the best paintings in the exhibition. It portrays beautiful red lotus flowers in ponds in Sylhet. Domination of warm blue, combined with white makes the painting mystic and soothing simultaneously. Its price is Tk24,000.

The artist played with lights and shadows in this painting. His canvas features many colours to depict this architectural heritage of Bangladesh. Clouds, trees, and the Rajbari remind the visitors and art lovers of the glorious past of our country. Price of this painting is Tk14,000.
