The government did not give any effort to bring rich people’s assets under the tax net in the budget proposed for the 2019-20 fiscal year, said Prof Sobhan, chairman of the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD).
Addressing a discussion titled “CPD Budget Dialogue 2019” at the city’s Lakeshore Hotel, the independent think-tank chief said the government should increase budgetary allocations for education, health and social safety schemes.
