Complaint beings

Have you ever met anyone who complains as much as you breathe? For the sake of your sanity, Kanta hopes that you do not. But as long as it is Kanta, meeting such people in life is her fate. It is Kanta, weirdness attracts her.

These complaint beings do not have any gender and interestingly, they complain about anything and everything to everyone and about everyone. Truly, they thrive on complaining, exactly the way cattle live on grass.

They complain about the sky, the air, the soil, germs, and amoeba. Do you know they can complain to inanimate things also? Kanta never could believe that such people could exist until she met two of her colleagues.

Once, she offered food to one of them, out of courtesy obviously, and it was her very favourite "kala bhuna." That lady agreed to taste as if Kanta has offered her something gross said, "You know it could be better if it was less spicy. And please, always remember – serve me on plates. I do not eat from others' plates."

A few hours later, the human resource department called Kanta and asked whether she had tried spreading germs by any chance or not. Being so perplexed with the situation, Kanta had apologised.

Later, she understood what was what and as usual abused herself for offering food to that woman. Though she never understood how that "offering" seemed "serving" to that Complaint lady and ended up as "spreading germs" to HR.

Another Complaint being is the complaint boy, whose hobby is complaining. He complains as often as every ten minutes, and people have taken to hiding from him to avoid his complaints. Once, the human resource department refused to listen to his complaint as he tends to exaggerate every little thing.

Unable to find someone interested in his ramblings, he started complaining to a pillar about its existence saying, "This pillar is white. Why is it white? Pillar – it's a significant thing. It has to be red. And, why is it here? It has to be in a place where people can see it properly!"

When Kanta saw him, she thought, "Why is he here? Is there nothing else in his life? Is his life so uneventful? Why does he work on himself instead of complaining?"

Yet, our intelligent Kanta finds answers instantly by herself. It seems that these Complaint beings have taken up complaining as their job. As they do not know how to do a job that includes real work other than complaining to people, it helps them to ignore their own uselessness! Sometimes, if you are lucky, you might catch them admitting that they are useless!
