One day, God called Satan on the telephone

An improved hell

Heaven is heaven because it gives a feeling of fulfilment. Do you know why hell is hell? Because nothing works there properly and this dissatisfaction is enough to make someone's life hell.

An engineer had died and reported to the pearly gates. He got a review of his deeds there, and it was announced saying, "Ah, you are an engineer – you are being sent to hell."

So the engineer started his life in hell where nothing is right. He observed the weather was unusually warm, the surrounding place is unthinkably smelly and dirty. Even the simplest task had to go through too many sufferings.

Pretty soon, the engineer got upset with the accommodation arrangement, and he started designing and building improvements on his own.

After a while, they had air-conditioning, flush toilets, escalators, elevators and so on... and the engineer became a pretty popular guy in hell.

One day, God called Satan on the telephone.

"So, how is it going down there in hell?" God asked.

"Things are going great! We've got air-conditioning and flush toilets and escalators. There is no telling what our engineer is going to come up with next!" exclaimed Satan.

"What? You have got an engineer? That must be a mistake. You are not supposed to get that kind. He should have never gotten down there. Send him back immediately!" God commanded.

"No way! I like having an engineer on the staff – I am keeping him!" Satan stated.

"Send him back up here or I will sue!" reproached God.

Satan laughed uproariously and answered:

"Haha! Yeah, right. And who will fight your case? Where are you even going to get a lawyer?"
