Japan to hire Bangladeshi professionals from April: Shahriar Alam

State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam on Monday said the government of Japan will take skilled professionals from Bangladesh like doctors, engineers and others from April, 2020.

"The government of Bangladesh has inked an agreement with Japan government in this regard," he said at a program at Government Safar Ali College in Araihazar upazila of Narayanganj.

Shahriar Alam warned people of the country not falling into the trap of any human trafficking gang and advised them to go to Japan after learning Japanese language properly.   

The state minister also urged all to make themselves competent as per requirement of Japan government. 

"Even, you can go to different countries including Middle East by following various tactics, but you cannot go to Japan and Korea sans a legal way," he added. 

As chief guest, the state minister said, "The government of Japan is establishing Japan Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Satgram area of Narayanganj's Araihazar upazila. It will create employment opportunities for the local people."

To take the opportunity, Shahriar Alam puts emphasis on setting up a school in Araihazar upazila for learning Japanese language.   

He also called upon the locals to learn Japanese language to get job in Japan EPZ. 

Apart from this, following the demand of students for transport facility, the state minister said a bus will be provided to the college for its students.    

"I will talk to the Road Transport and Bridges Ministry and the Prime Minister so that the students will get the bus shortly," he further said.
