Bangladeshi film 'Qasida of Dhaka' to be screened in Germany

Bangladeshi documentary film 'Qasida of Dhaka' will be screened at the Glimpse of South Asia Film Festival of Fachschaftsrat, University of Heidelberg, in Germany on 25 June. 

The festival organiser confirmed the news in an e-mail to the director of the film -- Anarya Murshid, reads a press release.

The film was released last year on several OTT platforms, including YouTube. Last year, the film won the Best Documentary Film award at the Indus Valley International Film Festival in Delhi.

'Qasida of Dhaka' will also be screened at the Short & Documentary Film Festival organised by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy on 23 June.

This is the first film of a trilogy on Dhaka's folk music. The rest of the trilogy's research is over. Anarya Murshid will make two other films once producers are found for the films.
