The Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) has introduced a hotline number "16113", said a press release Wednesday.
The BIWTA in the media release urged the passengers to call the number for service-related queries and other emergency information.
The transport authority operates under the Ministry of Shipping and Inland Water Transport. It controls the inland water transport in Bangladesh and is also responsible for development and maintenance of the country's inland water transport networks.
