Gadgets to enjoy solo Eid

This Eid is likely to involve a lot of me-time. We celebrate that free time by pampering ourselves for doing things the best we have this pandemic. And me-time means some quality music, maybe a spot of gaming and a bit of silent introspection through quality reading.

What do we have then?

Wireless headphone: Bose Noise Cancelling Headphone 700

The Business Standard Google News Keep updated, follow The Business Standard's Google news channel

Price: 21,500 - 35,000 BDT. Price will differ depending on warranty.

This is by far one of the best noise-canceling wireless headphones the market has to offer. They are extremely comfortable and will perform well if you are receiving a call or attending a video conference. It has some commendable features like hands-free Alexa, Bose Ar, etc. Depending on your choice, you can also adjust the noise cancellation, and it will work without any power. It can be charged using a USB-C cable. If you are a traveler or a student or want simply the best, this headphone is for you. It also has the most classic design, and if you are attending a video call with a client or for business purposes, this headphone can make an impression.

The only problem with Bose Noise Cancelling Headphone 700 is that it is not waterproof. Bose authority claims that they are water-resistant, which means that the headphone can withstand only a few water splashes. Even though Bose says that it has an IPX4 rating, all the users have expressed concerns and suggested not to use it during heavy rain. The battery life is also impressive. Bose expressed that it can be used for 20 hours after giving the full charge, and it is quite accurate. Overall, at this price point, it is the most delightful ANC headphone you can use.

Where to find: Gadget and gear, Custom Mac BD, Star-tech, Click. Bd, Brothers Electronics, Daraz.

Game on: Play Station 5 (Ps5)

Price: 55,000 BDT to 90,000 BDT. Prices will differ depending on which version you take. There are two versions. The first one is digital, and the second one is the disc version. Digital costs less, obviously.

If someone wants to play NextGen games in gorgeous 4k visuals with a clean interface and does not want slow loading problems, then the big thing in the gaming industry is the one you should go with. It has a lighting fast SSD, which makes sure you can load games within seconds. The dual sense controller looks more stylish than all the previous versions, and surely the gaming feels more realistic; as for shooting games, the controller's vibration plays a big role. It also has a built-in speaker, and you can connect your headphones with the controller. Currently, and for almost the next four to five years, PS5 will be the king of the gaming console industry. A Playstation is quite backward compatible meaning you can play most of the games from PS2, PS3, PS4, and all of these for free. Playstation Plus subscription will help you play the games online, and Sony offers two to three games per month. Also, the PS Plus collection, which is exclusively for Ps5, gives you some hot, in-demand games like Bloodborne, Days Gone, Detroit Became Human, Resident Evil Biohazard, and many more for free. All the games on PS4 are playable and most of them can be upgraded immediately to adjust the high settings. Most of the latest games will be released for this particular platform. This is a great time for gaming.
