After the talks between two premiers, a couple of Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) are likely to be signed between Bangladesh and Bhutan to enhance bilateral cooperations

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is holding talks with her Bhutanese counterpart, Dr Lotay Tshering, at her office in the capital today.

The Bhutanese delegation, led by Lotay Tshering, was welcomed by PM Sheikh Hasina.

After the talks between the two premiers, a couple of Memorandum of Understanding (MOUs) are likely to be signed between Bangladesh and Bhutan to enhance bilateral co-operations.

Dr Lotay Tshering arrived in Dhaka on Tuesday on a three-day official visit to attend the Golden Jubilee celebrations of Bangladesh's independence and the Birth Centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The Bhutanese PM will also pay a courtesy call on Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid at Bangabhaban today.

Later in the afternoon, Tshering will join the celebrations at National Parade Square as the guest of honour, where Prime Minister Hasina will receive him.
