LankaBangla Securities topped the DSE list as the most active stockbroker

IDLC Securities Ltd was named the most active stock dealer in February at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

Islami Bank Securities stood second while United Securities Ltd took the third spot.

The premier bourse prepares the list based on the buy and sale of shares by broker-dealer firms from their own investment accounts opened under their stock dealer licence.

Dhaka Bank Securities was in fourth place while Doha Securities Ltd was in fifth.

MTB Securities, SAR Securities, LankaBangla Securities, Vision Capital Management, and Prime Bank Securities occupied the sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth position respectively.

Sheltech Brokerage, Padma Bank Securities, Uttara Bank Securities, Prilink Securities, and Shanta Securities were in the 11th to 15th spot respectively.

ICB Securities Trading Company, S&H Equities, NRBC Bank Securities, Hazrat Shah Amanat Securities, and Global Securities Ltd occupied the list's 16th to 20th spot.

Stock dealers tend to buy and sell shares in large quantities and their activities increase the depth of the market as they offer ample opportunities to buy and sell in a specific market.

Top brokers in February

In terms of executing clients' buy and sale orders of shares, LankaBangla Securities topped the DSE list as the most active stockbroker.

IDLC Securities rose to the second spot on the list from its third position in the previous month while Brac EPL Stock Brokerage jumped to number three from five.

ICB Securities Trading stood fourth and City Brokerage was in the fifth spot.

UCB Stock Brokerage, United Securities, Sheltech Brokerage, United Financial Trading Company, and Bank Asia Securities occupied the sixth to tenth spot respectively.

MTB Securities, Prime Bank Securities, Shanta Securities, EBL Securities, and AIBL Capital Market Services were in the 11th to 15th spot respectively.

Beximco Securities, Mercantile Bank Securities, AB Securities, Royal Capital, and BLI Securities were in the 16th-20th spot.
