Abrar’s roommate Mizan sent to jail after remand

A Dhaka court today sent Mizanur Rahman, to jail as police produced him before the court after end of his five-day remand in connection with Abrar murder case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Tofajjal Hossen passed the order.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Baki Billah on October 23 placed Mizan on five-day remand in the case.

Mizan, a student of Department of Water Resources Engineering, was also roommate of the deceased. He was arrested from Room-1011 of Sher-e-BanglaHall of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) on October 10 and was sent to jail the next day.

Abrar Fahad, a student of Electric and Electronic Engineering, was beaten to death allegedly by a group of Chhatra League activists on October 6 midnight at Sher-e-Bangla Hall of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
