E-courier launches services to speed up delivery, including ‘air parcel’
Officials said the company will now be able to deliver goods across districts with airports within a day using their new ‘air parcel’ service
E-courier launched an array of services on Monday to speed up its delivery across the country, including delivery by air.
Officials said the company will now be able to deliver goods across districts with airports within a day using their new "air parcel" service.
Customers will need to book before 12pm to send goods within that day. They will have to pay a minimum of Tk300 and can send goods weighing up to 1kg.

The service is only available to regions with an airport, officials added.
Other than air parcel service, E-courier also launched Person-2-Person (P2P) Delivery Service, Corporate Delivery Service, Merchant Delivery Service, Line haul, and Automatic Warehouse services.
Biplop Ghosh Rahul, chief executive of E-courier, revealed the company's new services at an event held in the capital. The company also launched its new logo at the event organised by Dotlines Bangladesh Limited.
Rahul said, "We have arranged to send goods within a day in districts that have an airport. Goods are already being transported by air from Dhaka to Chattogram.
"We will extend our range for the service, which will allow us to send urgent documents to be sent within a day," he added.
Rahul said "In Sadar upazilas goods will be sent directly at the customer's address," adding, "The service is only available in Dhaka and Chattogram at present."
The service will be launched in all districts with an airport from 1 March.
Regarding the automatic warehouse service, officials said entrepreneurs can store their products at E-courier's warehouses. They will find the information on how many products are entering and leaving the warehouse online. Moreover, entrepreneurs can distribute their goods across the country using the warehouse service.
E-courier's chief executive said, "We will deliver the products of the entrepreneurs to their customers all over Bangladesh within the stipulated time. We now have pick-drop centers in 18 districts. The centers will be set up in 64 districts of the country by the end of March."
Mohammad Sahab Uddin, vice president of E-commerce Association of Bangladesh (E-Cab), Munir Hasan, head of Youth programme of The Daily Prothom Alo also spoke at the event.
Sahab Uddin said, "The main problem of e-commerce business is delivery service. E-courier's latest services are a timely solution to that problem."
As a licensed company, E-courier is safer and more dependable than other delivery service providers, he added.
E-courier has been operational in Bangladesh since 2015. With an aim to renovate the logistic industry, the company launched an end-to-end 360 Portfolio in delivery services. They have 10 offices and over 350 employees across the country. They also have 50 channel partners providing services to more than 250 businesses and institutions.
