Bright, fun and comfortable: Winter wear 2020 by Wearhouse

Clothing brand Wearhouse is all about bright colours, fun designs and comfortable outfits. And this is what they have kept in mind while designing this year's winter collection.

Founder Tasnim Ferdous said, "We wanted to design products that are a fusion of traditional crafts with modern cuts; ethnic wears that will keep you warm and stylish while giving you multiple options. We have chosen colours that are a little moody (like the winter!) compared to our usual colour palette that we use, and we have also tried to curate cuts which can be worn as casual, formal and semi festive wears."

She added, "Since it is winter, we have given special attention to designing our layering choices. As our most popular product, our double-sided winter wears are must haves."

These are made with cotton and have prints on both sides to make them a little heavier and the double layering makes them a good choice for winter.

According to Tasnim, they can be styled with T-shirts, shirts, kurtis and even with sarees. And the best part is that when you turn them inside out, they reveal another design! You basically get two outfits in one.

Wearhouse made them their straight long jackets for a more formal and ethnic wear, and they have designed them with "waterfall" lapels - if customers wish for a more fluid and casual wear.

Most of their products are made with pure cotton fabric and they are hand-printed all over with Wearhouse's original doodle prints. For this season, they have also used linen and denim.

The linen shirts and trouser-sets with matching jackets have been designed specifically for those who like to experiment with new and bold outfits.

Another of their most popular creation is the 'no waste products', their patchwork blazers. They have been designed with the leftover scraps of older products.

They can be worn at casual or formal events and they are sure to turn heads. These blazers are styled in both modern and ethnic ways, and they are great statement pieces. The inner synthetic lining makes them light-weight and keeps you warm at the same time.

The winter collection has been designed to make sure women from varied backgrounds can wear something from here and still feel their authentic self, with a dash of liveliness in their winter wardrobe.

Wearhouse's full winter collection is available on their Facebook page, Instagram handle, and their website at wearhouse.love which will be launched on December 26.

The collection includes:

Chhotopakhi Reversible Jacket

The chhotopakhi doodles are printed on blue cotton and the peacock doodles are printed on mustard yellow cotton. It is a long jacket with a round neck and looped buttons in front. It is hand printed with full sleeves and side pockets. Wear it over a dress or saree to turn heads wherever you go.

Starfish Reversible Jacket

This reversible jacket has hand block printed coral doodles on maroon cotton and starfish doodles on black. It has an asymmetric hemline and waterfall lapel. It has side pockets and the double layer makes it a fab choice for chilly evenings. Wear it over a dress or saree to create your style statement.

Starfish Denim Set

This fitted dress is handcrafted in soft cotton based denim, with details around the bust area and waist, for a flattering fit. It comes with a contrasting hand-printed jacket that compliments the simplicity with a little bit of funk. It is perfect for the winter days to stay in style while keeping yourself warm.

Sunset Blazer

This patchwork blazer is made from scrap fabrics. We love a well-tailored piece, and this blazer is tailored to perfection. It features a wide lapel collar and is finished with a single button. The combination of the hand printed cotton fabric has a lovely vibe to it, which makes it a great option to dress up or dress down for any occasion.

Sunflower Trouser Set

This splendid floral cotton, long blazer is tailored in hand block printed cotton and shaped with precise panels for a slender shape. It comes with a matching trouser to complete the look.

Red Alpona Long Dress

This dress is designed with bold Alpona print, inspired from local floor printing patterns, that really accentuates the interesting silhouette. It is crafted in cotton, with a combination of red printed fabric, and a layer of ash and black fabric that falls from the pleated, nipped-in waist to a flared flowy silhouette. The overlap at the neckline creates an illusion of a wrap dress and the ties are enhanced with handmade tassels.

Black Rose Shirt

This Rose printed shirt is crafted with light-weight linen fabric. It is shaped with a band collar and cuffed full sleeves. Style it with relaxed tailored trousers and pumps to complete the look.
