Abrar Fahad, 21, a resident of Sher-e-Bangla Hall and a second-year student of Buet, was beaten to death on Monday night by some Chhatra League men over his alleged affiliation with Jamat-e-Islami's student wing Chhatra Shibir.

Abrar's father Barkat Ullah filed a case last night with Chawkbazar police station against 19 leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League, Buet unit.
Nine people have been arrested so far over the murder.
