Fire guts 13 houses, two shops in Ctg
The local fire station brought the blaze under control at around 10:20 pm.

At least 13 dwelling houses and two shops were gutted in a devastating fire in the East Khalurghat area under Boalkhali upazila of the district last night (27 September).
According to Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) officials, the fire originated from an electric short circuit at a dwelling house in the area at around 8:37 pm and quickly spread to the adjacent houses.
Former local UP member Md Sohel said two units of the local fire station rushed to the spot after receiving the information and brought the blaze under control at around 10:20 pm.

The damage caused by the fire was estimated at around Tk 15 lakh, he said.
