Trump rejects Iran’s seven-day offer to reopen the Strait of Hormuz

Iran has offered to reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial shipping within seven days, but US President Donald Trump has rejected the proposal as unacceptable. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Tehran is awaiting official US views through mediators, while Oman is calling for continued dialogue. The dispute comes amid US economic pressure on Iran and growing concerns over navigation through the strategically important waterway.
