New OC appointed to Cantonment police station; Gulshan inspector transferred
DMP appoints Gias Uddin as Cantonment OC and transfers Gulshan inspector of operations to CTTC.
The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has appointed a new officer-in-charge (OC) to Cantonment Police Station and transferred the inspector of operations at Gulshan Police Station.
DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed signed an office order today (24 September) making the appointments and transfers.
According to the order, Police Inspector Muhammad Gias Uddin of the DMP's Lines and Operations Division has been appointed OC of Cantonment Police Station.

Meanwhile, Inspector Mizanur Rahman, inspector of operations at Gulshan Police Station, has been transferred to the Counter Terrorism Investigation Division.
Inspector Md Abdus Selim of the DMP's Lines and Operations Division has been appointed to replace him at Gulshan Police Station.
Earlier, Cantonment Police Station OC Md Rakibul Hasan was withdrawn on 17 September following controversial remarks about the government, police and other forces.
The DMP formed a three-member committee to investigate the incident.
