Rajshahi village mourns loss of Rifaat
Army personnel Abu Bakar Siddique Piyas and Tasnim Rifayat lost their lives in a tank shell-firing incident during training at the Hathazari Field Firing Range in Chattogram. On September 10, Piyas was laid to rest with military honors in Kabirhat, Noakhali, while Rifayat's body was taken to his village home in Rajshahi. A pall of gloom has descended upon the families and relatives of the two soldiers. Piyas is survived by his wife, children, and parents, while Rifayat leaves behind his relatives and a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Jui.
