Sri Lanka stays Bangladesh’s top pharma export market in FY26

Bangladesh exported $238.5 million worth of pharmaceutical products in fiscal year 2025-26, up 12% from $213.2 million the previous year. The country sold pharmaceutical products to over 130 countries, though the sector accounted for just 0.5% of Bangladesh's total merchandise exports of $48 billion in FY26.
Sri Lanka remained the top destination for Bangladeshi pharmaceuticals, with pharma products making up 40.1% of the $76.4 million worth of goods Bangladesh exported to the country in FY26.
