Security tightened at airports across Bangladesh: Caab chairman
Chairman of the civil aviation authority, Mostafa Mahmud Siddique, told journalists today that all necessary steps have been taken to enhance vigilance and prevent any untoward incidents.
Security has been significantly strengthened at all airports across Bangladesh, with heightened surveillance measures in place at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Authority Mostafa Mahmud Siddique said today (27 April).
Authorities have increased monitoring at all key installations within the country's busiest airport, as part of broader precautionary steps. Law enforcement agencies deployed at airports have been instructed to adopt special measures to ensure passenger safety and operational security.
According to Caab officials, the directive follows a warning issued by the Police Headquarters, which was also shared with airport authorities. Upon receiving the alert, the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh moved swiftly to reinforce security arrangements nationwide.

"All units of law enforcement agencies working at the airports have been instructed to remain on high alert and implement special security measures," he said.
