Brahmanbaria-2: Rumeen Farhana wins by 38,113 votes in 151 centres
The constituency has a total of 4,99,448 registered voters.
In Brahmanbaria-2 (Sarail, Ashuganj and parts of Bijoynagar), independent candidate Rumeen Farhana, contesting with the 'duck' symbol, has won by a landslide 38,113 votes, according to non-government results from all 151 polling centres.
Rumeen has secured 1,18,547 votes, while her closest rival, BNP-allied candidate Mohammad Junayed Al Habib of the 'date-palm tree' symbol, has secured 80,434 votes.
Returning Officer Sharmin Akter Jahan announced the result at 2:00am today (13 February).
The constituency has a total of 4,99,448 registered voters.
According to the returning officer, voter turnout in the constituency stood at 44.8%.
