11-party alliance to meet EC over poll environment

Leaders of the 11-party alliance are scheduled to hold talks with the Election Commission (EC) today (9 February) to discuss the overall electoral landscape and grassroots-level developments.
The meeting is scheduled to take place at 3pm at the Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, Dhaka.
The delegation will be led by Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan, spokesperson of the National Citizen Party (NCP) and chairman of its central election management committee.
Yasir Arafat, media secretary of NCP's election management committee, confirmed the matter, stating that the discussions would primarily focus on the prevailing electoral environment and specific issues observed at the grassroots level.
Following the meeting with the commission, the alliance leaders are expected to brief the media on the outcomes of their discussion.
