US-Bangla Airlines awards certificate to Najmun Nahar
US-Bangla Airlines has honoured Najmun Nahar with a Certificate of Honour, recognising her extraordinary journey of carrying the Bangladeshi national flag across 184 countries and inspiring messages of unity, peace, and environmental responsibility beyond borders.
The recognition was presented in tribute to her courage, purpose, and determination, through which she has embodied the spirit of Bangladesh on the world stage. Najmun Nahar is the first Bangladeshi and the world's first Muslim woman to undertake such an extensive global journey carrying her national flag.
The certificate was formally presented at the US-Bangla Airlines office in the presence of senior airline officials, including Kamrul Islam, General Manager (Public Relations), and Mir Tajmul Hossain, Head of Digital Marketing. The occasion marked a moment of national pride, acknowledging an achievement that reflects Bangladesh's identity and values beyond geographical boundaries.
Najmun Nahar's journey has emerged as a symbol of national identity and global unity. By carrying the Bangladeshi flag across continents, she has promoted messages of peace, cultural connection, and environmental awareness, demonstrating how individual purpose can transcend geographical and cultural divides.
Through this recognition, US-Bangla Airlines acknowledged her as a Flag Laureate of Bangladesh, celebrating her role as a symbol of national pride and global inspiration. The honour was conferred on 5 February 2026.
