Hult prize campus round 2026 launched at BUBT
Bangladesh University of Business and Technology (BUBT) has officially launched the Hult Prize Campus Round 2026, inviting students to develop innovative and impact-driven start-up ideas aligned with this year's global challenge.
The Hult Prize is a global competition that encourages young entrepreneurs to create scalable solutions to pressing social and environmental challenges. Through the BUBT campus round, student teams will pitch their ideas before a panel of industry experts, entrepreneurs and academic leaders.
The inauguration and opening ceremony of Hult Prize at BUBT 2026 was held on 11 January, 2026 at the International Conference Hall of the university.
Vice Chancellor of BUBT Professor Dr A B M Shawkat Ali attended the programme as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the campus round. Chief Executive Officer of title sponsor Lieve Md Rakibul Islam (Prince) and National Community Coordinator of the Hult Prize Foundation Abid Shahriar were present as special guests. Senior faculty members and academic leaders from various departments of the university also attended the event.
The campus competition will feature several stages, including team registration, mentorship and training sessions, preliminary pitching rounds and a final round. Top-performing teams will be selected to represent BUBT at the next stages of the Hult Prize global competition. Participants will gain hands-on exposure to entrepreneurship, innovation and impact-driven business development.
BUBT's presence in the Hult Prize ecosystem has been further strengthened by recent achievements. The university's student start-up Agro Doctor secured first place in the Dhaka region at the Hult Prize National Competition, competing against teams from leading universities across the country.
The Hult Prize at BUBT 2026 will conclude with a final pitching session, after which selected teams will advance to national and global rounds with support from the student organising committee, faculty members and university authorities.
