The victim, Ziaul Mahmood, 50, was rescued around 1:30am today (9 December) from the Sreepur area under Ashulia Police Station, officials said.

Confirming the development, DMP Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said the abduction took place around 5pm yesterday when six to seven unidentified individuals forcibly picked up Ziaul from the Nikunja area and pushed him into a black Hiace microbus.
The abductors also took away his private car, he said.
