Janata Bank officers’ associations hold special prayer for Begum Khaleda Zia’s recovery
A special doa mahfil was held on Sunday (30 November, 2025) seeking the quick recovery and long life of former prime minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The programme was organised by the Janata Bank Nationalist Officers' Welfare Association Central Committee and the Nationalist Bankers Association–Bangladesh, Janata Bank Central Committee.
The doa mahfil took place after Asr prayers at the prayer hall of Janata Bank PLC's head office. Janata Bank Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman, deputy managing directors, general managers, senior executives, Saiful Abedin Selim, president of the Janata Bank Nationalist Officers' Welfare Association Central Committee, Shah Jahan, president of the Nationalist Bankers Association–Bangladesh Janata Bank Central Committee, Md Rafiqul Islam, president of the Janata Bank Nationalist Employees' Union, and officers and employees from all levels attended the event.
Speaking at the doa mahfil, Managing Director Md Mojibur Rahman said the bank was deeply concerned about the current health condition of former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia. He said her contributions to the country are recognised across political lines, and prayed for her quick recovery and long life.
