"At the moment, army personnel will remain deployed as usual. There will be no withdrawal from the field," he added.
The banned Awami League has announced plan for holding "Dhaka lockdown" programme on 13 November.
Meanwhile, the government and security agencies are treating it as a potential flashpoint for unrest, even as top officials publicly down‑play risks.
The date is also significant as the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) is set to announce the date for delivering its verdict in the July Uprising crimes against humanity case against ousted prime minister Sheikh Hasina, former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, and another accused, on 13 November.
